Stormy Pitons

Approaching the Pitons from the north, down the western coast of St. Lucia.

It had been raining overnight and the storm clouds heading south were threatening to engulf the island for most of the day. It took another 3 hours until we got majorly drenched in a brief but intense and warm torrential shower.

Caribbean weather has to be experienced to be believed!

Fifteen minutes of fame...

PhotoRadar recently featured one of my images from the evolving 'Entropy' series, causing me a little surprise. I then became a little more stunned when I found out that the I had been shortlisted for the Photographer of the Year competition too!

Not used to the attention, but am totally bowled over and looking forward to seeing who wins. I don't think I'll get that much further, but just go look at some of the stunning images that have been put through!

UPDATE: 'Rise' the image in the Photographer of the Year competition has received commended status. I'm completely bowled over and have had some incredible feedback. I'm looking forward to popping down to the exhibition in London to view the final winners, alongside my own image!
