2009.037 . Miguel's
I took two flash photos during our meal, but always like the natural lighting better, no matter how "grainy" it looks at high ISO. Miguel's is turning into one of our favorite restaurants, now that Scott is going to (and I'm working at) the college right near it. In fact, several students that I know were sitting at the table behind us. I first dined at Miguel's more than 15 yrs ago with an old friend who was working at the Navy base. Now we've been here half a dozen times in the past year or so. The chips with red and white salsas before the meal are probably too good here, because we always have a hard time finishing the delicious food that follows. I love their tamales with verde and mole sauces. Jojo was visiting us from Germany today, so we took him here to get a good dose of Mexican food, after Susan and Scott took him to Point Loma Sea Food for lunch. There was talk of fasting tomorrow.
One interesting detail about this photo is the blue light on the guy's head in the background. It took me a while to figure out what it was, but then I remembered he was wearing a cellphone headpiece and it kept flashing red and blue during the meal. I don't think I could wear one of those things unless I were in the middle of an actual call, and I wouldn't pick up anyway if I were in a restaurant. It just seems rude. Fortunately, we was well out of earshot.
