Copyright Troll and The Lord's Prayer

    Newer Older

YouTube is reporting that the copyright trolls at the “Music Publishing Rights Collecting Society” are claiming control, ownership and/or administration of “The Lord’s Prayer”.
(Please note that The Lord’s Prayer was first translated into English around about 650 A.D., approximately one thousand three hundred and sixty one years ago. More likely, the trolls are claiming ownership of the musical setting of the Lord's Prayer, which was written by Albert Hay Malotte in 1935.)

The video in question, The Lord's Prayer, may be seen on the YouTube machine until the trolls order the take-down.

Investigations into this "Music Publishing Rights Collecting Society" show it to be a shadowy criminal organization whose scam (and complete raison d'être) is to make false copyright claims for YouTube videos. YouTube colludes with this criminal activity via the "Safe Harbor" loophole: Whereby YouTube gives equal service to criminals and law-abiding citizens alike, and therefore is held blameless when either party is false.
