Possum in your house…

Very common, they love food!
Possum in your house...well, usually people don't appreciate much when they set up in their attics, in addition of being nocturnal...they urinate a lot....and while captured and released even quite far away, they…love their house!! So I've been told that one of the best way to get rid of them (without killing them, they are protected in the ACT), is to offer them a new house (a good wood box in a tree).

Thanks for the interesting info, Pierre! The fact that they are bushy tailed make them far more attractive than the Amrican opossum that has a long, bare pink tail and makes it look like an overgrown rat.
It, too, has adapted well to city life (raids garbage cans) - have seen two in our neighborhood... Interesting animals - but not in your house. Definitely not.
