French Swivel Gun or Carronade
Anne is currently studying the French Revolution in history class. By coincidence, in a museum about the Chesapeake Bay, we came across this swivel gun which is not only of French manufacture, but dates to the time of the French Revolution as well. On the barrel are the words " Egalite', Liberte' " which were part of the motto of the French Revolutionaries.
