Brooklyn West Indian American Day Carnival 2009 (09-07-2009) |
Series: Brooklyn West Indian American Day
Carnival 2009
Eastern Parkway
Brooklyn, New York
(09-07-2009)
The Brooklyn West Indian American Day
Carnival was wonderful from what I saw
of it. Even though I spent much of my
time with the Barbadian Band, I had a
good feel for the Carnival. The massive
crowds lined the parkway. It was
awesome.
The route was shortened this year. It
started at Utica instead of the regular
Buffalo Avenue. A few of the Mas Bands
were cut off before they even got to the
judging stand close to the Brooklyn
Museum. It was inevitable because of
the time I presume. I just think the
bands took too long to come down the
parkway. But all in all it was a good
Parade.
