Barbados: From Here to There (07-25-2006)

Visitors and locals alike always say you can journey from one part of Barbados to the other within a day. While I am not going to debate that position even though this may be true, I will relate to you that there are many interesting things in between that can make your journey a lengthy and fascinating one.

Consider the wonderful beaches and the wonderful old chattel houses that line the inner roads and villages. Not to forget the lovely churches and all the wonderful Georgian structures that still inhabit this great land we call Barbados.

Today I am on move through the land by way of car. My focus is the out of the ordinary places, structures, people, and my childhood memories they evoke.
