Crystal Mill Revisited

    Newer Older

My hubby took this one! This is the Crystal Mill near a ghost town called Crystal (in Colorado). You can only get there using a 4 Wheel Drive trail. Well worth the trip!

Great picture...one can only imagine how the builders of this building hung precariously to anchor the posts and erect the building.

nice shot. from the Marble side it's not too bad, from the Crested Butte side the Devil's Punchbowl is interesting.

If you get back to this area, try the Hancock Pass, St Elmo, and Alpine Tunnel area if you haven't done them.

The Punchbowl is on the way down from Schofield Pass.... it was terrifying for us! It was only the 2nd trail we'd ever done and we didn't have the guide books!! Yikes!! And us with a brand new 4Runner!! That trail showed us just how awesome that truck is!!

We have done the Alpine Tunnel & Cumberland Pass, but I don't think the other two!!
