Bayonet Peaks, Lake Wakatipu
I hate to admit it, but this was taken from my deck this evening. I didnt even have to walk anywhere to take it. Taking images like this is child's play around here. Which means I'm going to have to get a bit smarter!
(Bayonet Peaks 1564m and 1577m above mean sea level)

:-) Paaul I was sitting here editing a few thousand images feeling like my eyes were about to drop out of their sockets after some heavy shooting the last week or so and then I saw this. Oh how Id love to be shooting something like this at the moment. Hope you are well and family and you have settled in. Looking forward to more great shots.

Awesome view, Paul. I'm a little behind with info. What pushed you to the South Island and to Queenstown? Seems like a long way to go after selling your home.

Beautiful Paul. Love the last rays of evening sunshine just lighting up the ridge. Handheld or tripod?

This is brilliant mate. I love how there's just a kiss of light on the peak and the shape of the swirling clouds which look like they are funnelling upward towards the heavens.
Sweet!
