La playa Grumari es una de las más desconocidas de Rio de Janeiro, sin embargo es de las más bonitas de la ciudad. Se ubica aproximadamente a 50 kilómetros del centro, dentro de un Área de Preservación Ambiental (APA).
Se encuentra rodeada por cerros y montañas que nacen desde el agua, así como también vegetación de mar. Es una playa de grandes olas, ideal para disfrutar del Surf, donde suelen disputarse torneos.
En un extremo de ella se encuentra Abrica, una zona de playa naturista-nudista, este sector es más protegido.
Como está ubicada en una APA no se permite el acceso de buses ni vehículos, por lo que se debe acceder a un bus destinado para ello que pueden encontrarse en el centro de la ciudad.
Una vez en Grumari podemos contratar botes de pescadores para acceder a las playas cercanas y disfrturar de los ocultos encantos de este paraíso llamado Rio de Janeiro.

The beach Grumari is one of the least known of Rio de Janeiro, however is the most beautiful in the city. It is located approximately 50 miles from the center within a Environmental Preservation Area (APA).
It is surrounded by hills and mountains that rise from the water as well as vegetation from the sea. It's a big-wave beach, ideal for enjoying the surf, where tournaments are often disputed.
At one end of it is Abrica, a beach area-nude naturist, this sector is protected.
As is located in an APA is not allowed access to buses and vehicles, so you must access a bus destined for it to be found in the city center.
Once Grumari can hire fishing boats to access the nearby beaches and hidden disfrturar the charms of this paradise called Rio de Janeiro.
