London loves a crowd. People everywhere in Oxford Street, and more
people coming in to meet them. On the tube and bus and slowly by
taxi. Sometimes quickly, by avoiding being on the street and crossing
over to seek some other route in the streets beyond. People
dressed in black in the bright lights. Hoping for some break from
Winter in the sunny neon. The streetlights start up, who really
fancies
an ice cream in March?

Very London. It's also spot on for the Nomads' current theme of walking (or at least for Tony's blurry nuance).

This pic soaks up some atmosphere, I like the character walking through the frame, maybe heading for a Mario Burger.

Well done to the Nomads for choosing a theme I have already done a picture of! That is especially useful as if given the theme I would have chosen a photo that had little or nothing to do with walking....Another blurry can have his day with another silhouette. I wanted to contrast people moving and people standing and chatting (without it seeming to be a photo particular). As long as Nomads don't give awards I am happy to submit a photo.

It is a very atmospheric corner and there is lots to photograph. I have not been sure about a photo taken near here on the theme of motion, I will as it reminds me of Stew's photo. See it arrive very soon (off to write something).

People hanging out , and maybe an ice cream in march at least it will not melt and run down your wrist. who's for a greasy burger washed down with a coke. then move on to somewhere else and try a Pasta.

I think the (perhaps another veggie) burger would suit better. Plenty of places to find pasta North and South of Oxford Street. Nothing on the street itself, rents must be to high. And why bother with so much in Soho to go to. This is a good place for just hanging out and seeing what happens.

Hi Douglas. Just to make sure there's no misunderstanding, I thought the convergence of your picture and Tony's thoughts on the Nomads' walking theme was a happy coincidence. And I like the picture on its own terms, that's why I made it a favourite.

Thanks for the clarification ^Tom. Coincidence can be enjoyed on its own merits....Thanks again for the favourite.
