I wanted a bit more cinematic look with this one, and I'm happy with that, but I'm not happy with the way the ceiling turned out...but that's just me. I might swap it out for something else, and see if I like that better, hehehe.

What does everybody else think? Feel free to nitpick this to pieces.

Untitled

A bit different from what I usually post, but I had quite a bit of fun shooting this back on Saturday at the parking garage of the local hospital.
I'll give anybody a pat on the back if you can guess how it was lit... :)

Okay, since apparently strobist absolutely won't let me post to the pool without info...here goes...

285hv camera right 1/4 power in 50" Apollo
285hv camera left 1/4 power in 28" Apollo
420exII further camera left in Saberstrip 1/8 power above rear wheel
420exII in Saberstrip on ground, firing under car 1/8 power
285hv behind car 1/4 power firing up with teal gel

I'll post a behind-the-scenes and explanation if a few people want to know.

Downtown Seattle and Mt. Rainier

Downtown Seattle and Mt. Rainier

It's been forever since I've posted anything, so here's something fresh... Had some fun this weekend shooting some aerials for a client up in Seattle. Everything, including the weather held out perfectly, so I had some extra time to circle around downtown as the sun was getting low.

Milky Way over Cape Kiwanda

Milky Way over Cape Kiwanda

Made a late-night run out to Pacific City to meet Darren White for some night shooting. We kept it hush-hush because we were going to try some top-secret ideas, and we weren't sure the conditions were going to pan out. Well they didn't it was too freaking dark, and either one of us didn't want to die, so we stuck with just taking some pictures of the stars. The stars were pretty nice to us though :) You can actually see the marine layer just along the horizon as it's starting to roll in. Within a matter of about 20 minutes from when this was taken, both the moon and stars were completely obscured.

Mt. Hood Trails

Mt. Hood Trails

I had a busy day yesterday. Shot video and stills for a police officer's memorial service from morning til about 2. Ran home, dumped 62gb worth of pics and video onto my computer, changed out of my slacks and headed out with Steve to go try and shoot a very hard to access waterfall on the Washington side of the gorge. Complete and utter failure, We dropped down about a 1/4 mile upstream from it, and there was no way to get down to the falls before dark, and we were beat. Oh and did I mention the sea of 2 foot tall poison oak? Anyways...super long story short, we drove up to Larch Mountain after hitting Vista House at sunset. Moon was hitting hard at abou 2/3, so I wasn't sure how the stars would turn out, but got quite a few great shots, even the Milky Way came out to visit for about an hour :)
