Behold! The Bunny Attacks! (8/365)

Clearly, the only way to handle vicious animals like Bunny is to use adequate protection. In this case, full Alpinestars motorcycle gear and a Schuberth C3 flip-up helmet (with, as you can see in the photo, a built-in slide-down sun visor which looks awfully fighter pilot).

Lighting: 2x Canon 580EX II. From the right: shot through umbrella, just off-frame. From the left: reflected via umbrella to light the back of me and Bunny. Heavy (about 2/3rds) bias towards the right. Finally, a strobe on the background to make the background better, but it wasn't powerful enough in this particular shot.

This picture is part of My 365 photo project. Yeah, yeah, it's the 15th, and this is my 8th photo, so I'm still ridiculously behind schedule, but I'm hoping to catch up. The goal is still to have 31 photos by the end of January, so I'd best go out there and snap some pic-a-tures.

As an aside, I wrote off poor Roary the Yellow Versys:

So I'm back in the market for a new bike. Between being on deadline for a book, having recently moved house so still sorting a load of stuff out, and shopping for a new bike at the same time, there's not all that much time for 365 projects. Boo.

Very very nice - I'm loving your recent well lit shots! Do you use a backdrop? or just a wall?

    Hey Al,

That's just a painted wall, yeah - blasted with a strobe to make it look a bit better!
