*UPDATE* Aug 29, 2006:
I just read in the student newspaper that this squirrel has been killed by a hawk. Rest In Peace, little guy.

-Update, January 2009-

Yes, there is another albino squirrel on the campus of UNT. There are two actually, I have not yet photographed them though. The albuno gene is alive and well in Denton, though some suspect tampering.

Great shot. We once had two (count 'em 1-2) albino squirrels in our yard chasing each other. The other squirrels were mean to them. I tried to get a shot of them (years before digital). The photo processors obviously didn't know what to make of it. They tried, I think, to make them brown!

There was a colony of white squirrels in Toronto Canada, now days sightings are about as rare as the Loch Ness monster. It turns out they can't see that well which I suppose accounts for there poor survival rate in a crowed city.
