I vote color.

There seems to be three specs in the right upper half of the picture... Water specs on your lense? Or dust or something? They are distracting in this gorgeous landscape.

the specks are actually birds in flight. you can distinguish them in the large version but it does take a zoom to see them as birds.

in fact there are 7 black birds and 2 white ones (lower part) but you have to come to my house to see a large print.

I checked out both photos...and i have to admit that each has its own nice qualities...the B&W shot has many tones to it, which makes it really interesting...and i think in both the sun-rays are the same...while here with the colored version...of-course it is more vibrant and the shadows of the clouds really stand out for me...therefore the winner is this one... =P ...

that was the 1Ds with 24-70, but it could have been anything, not a very technical photo.

What a gorgeous place. Love the patterns and light beams. I think cropping the bottom fifth out improves it as the bottom area contains no patterns or light shadow. Nicely taken.
