Lightning Display
This lightning could strike the fear of the gods into anyone! (horrible pun intended)

A Flash in the Distance
During a few of my friend's graduation party, the skies became increasingly tempestuous and the distant muddled flashes of lightning more intense, and by the end it was really wonderful to watch and hear.
On my way home the lightning was so insane that when I arrived home I frantically grabbed my camera and tripod and headed down to the beach.
There were only a few distant flashes...
