Rawwwwrrrrr!!
Wheres the nearest dentist?
artist: ??
location: Richmond
This piece of graffiti was located along a back alleyway in Richmond that leads up to a strip-club. Little did i know at the time that i would actually be giving someone directions on how to get to that strip-club. A guy holding a beer bottle approached me as i was readying my camera with some filters, we started talking and then asked me for directions to the nearest strip-club, he even asked me to join him, haha. He wasnt a creepy guy or anything, he was actually quite cool (a bit drunk and possibly high, but nice nevertheless). I certainly wasnt going to deprive him of a bit of fun, so i directed him on how to get to the club, but kindly refused his offer of joining him.

artist: Dabs and Myla
location: Richmond
I met Dabs and Myla whilst they were working on another piece a few blocks down. They were kind enough to direct me to this piece of theirs. Have to go back and take a photo of the one they were working on.

Goddess of the stinking swamp
A giant statue (Buddhist? Hindu?) in the middle of a swamp in Kensington next to the Maribyrnong River and train lines that head towards Footscray. Seems like a very odd place to have such a statue, it lies in the middle of a filthy swamp and is surrounded by factories, industrial wastelands and train tracks. Still, its interesting.
Note to anyone else wanting to take photos of this, it has a perimeter sensor which triggers off an alarm. I stepped into the middle island to take this shot and set off the alarm. Trust me to be the guinea pig testing the security measures, haha!
This is a single exposure HDR photo, done in Qtpfsgui. The sky and statue were then treated separately in Gimp to get the result i wanted.
