The sun looked lovely tonight at I was heading home. Everyone had disappeared by 5:00. The big stickyoutty bit in the middle is our office window. We have a pretty nice spot :-)

I saw my shadow projected vividly on to the container when I was heading out to my bike. The container is just to the right of the picture, but as you can see the sun moved quickly and the light was quickly fading by the time I got the camera on the tripod, and set up the intervalometer. I grabbed a bunch of shots facing towards the container and then turned try and get the front of the building with the sun on it. I did a few laps of the empty car park swinging past the camera and Shane came out of the other building to set off home. We talked about photos and it turns out he likes taking photos too! We shall no doubt be talking photos next week. Cool.

I 'sopped this one a little. I crudely selected the bottom half of the photo and feathered the edges by 200 pixels then a apllied a positive curve to brighten the foreground and some unsharp mask to pick it up. I then inverted the selection to tweak the sky, by pulling the dark end down with the curves tool, which made the front of the building a deeper orange. For the sky, I left the unsharp mask well alone because it's got a habit of blowing out the highlights and I didn't want to ruin the clouds.
