The Saviour...Breakfast of the kings, or in this case a cold and tired tramping party of two after wading through waist high snow and tackling some peaks in the Arthurs Pass National Park this past weekend....

Breakfast ...its a chilling -5 or so outside and its already 9am ... breakfast is on the stove so to speak and no one is really wanting to wake up let alone go anywhere... ... just to show the culinary skills we used while in the mountains... a porridge mix of oats, sultans, milo and some quality whittakers chocolate... what a way to start the morning ... none of that kiwi kids are weetbix kids sheit... this is what they really want..

das feuer brennt immer no....the fire in the edwards hut located in arthurs pass, took ages to get it going given the wood was under a lot of snow and ice, but it sure went when it got up some speed, the greatest thing to see when its snowing outisde is a fire... so warm and powerful looking

the way out...View from the start of the track , very little snow on the tops on the monday but by friday it was to be totally under snow... cold, and wet.... nothing like the way it started...

Castle HillsNo rock climbers here this day ... in fact as we were to find we were the only people out this way in the mountians in the middle of the week in all the snow... who else would have had the time or for that matter lack of sence to be in the mountains mid week... no one ...
