For what turned out to be the hottest day of the year so far Friday morning got off to a chilly/foggy start. There was a few swear words being said as I struggled with frozen hands to undo my tripod's leg locks.

Short eared owl

Short eared owl photographed yesterday. One day maybe I'll get lucky and capture a better image closer up. Had to use some lightroom magic to bring out the detail and reduce noise etc.

A room with a view

Was just browsing through some old holiday photo's and found this vast image taken from my hotel room in Pelling, Sikkim. The mountain on the left is Kangchenjunga, the 3rd highest mountain in the world at 8,586m.
