Canon 400d with 70-200mm f/4.0L IS USM

Canon 400d with 70-200mm f/4.0L IS USM by tmills1073.
Read the Complete BG-E3 review at My Impetus.

One of my favorite lenses - the EF 70-200mm f/4.0 IS USM attached to a 400d with the BG-E3 battery grip.

I'm looking for one of those at the minute - a great (not so) little lens!

I've worked out that even with customs fees, it would be cheaper for me to ship one to the UK from America.

I'm saving up (I seem to spend half my life saving for photographic gear...)

Hey Gaaary - Yes, it is a fantastic lens. I was reading about this lens with IS compared to the non-IS version, and this one took the cake, even though it is pricey. But it currently is a tie for most used lens next to the 100mm Macro lens. Have you checked out B&H Photo? www.bhphotovideo.com/ I am not sure if they ship to the UK or not, but one of the best camera stores.

I hear you about savings and photography gear - never ending struggle =)

Boacautin - It's not too heavy, and is well balanced. With the camera, batteries/pack, and lens it's about 5-6lbs. I don't have a flash on it, so just add the weight of your favorite flash to that.

Indeed a good lens, I eventualy shoot with it when a friend let me use it for a couple of days, the quality is superior.

Good L lens. I would like to have a 70-200 2.8 L
