Early in the morning we went for a second trip on the rubber boat to spot some beavers. The sunrise was just beautiful and we enjoyed the silence so much, only the birds were doing their best to reveal their presence...

Biesbosch Beaver

For 2 days we joined Hennie & Hans, who stayed on their boat Tembo in the Biesbosch. This national park is one of the finest places in Holland and inhabits many animals.
Our goal was spotting the beavers in their natural habitat, so on rubber boat we went on a search in the small creeks. Thanks to our wonderful 'guides' we got rewarded so much and came across about 10 beavers orso. It was just fabulous to watch these curious animals swimming around our little boat!
It's a new experience in our own country which I won't forget... Thank you guys, it was just awesome!

Unfortunately, I was too late to see this Dragonfly actually crawling out of its larva skin. He was already drying himself in the sun.
I must admit I was astonished when I saw him hanging on the metal gateway of my neighbours, located on a busy road in a big city... Why did he pick this particular place while there is so much nature around?

Arctic Yawn

Just recently they finished a new arctic area in our local zoo. New animals arrived to inhabit the place, like this gorgeous snowy owl and her partner.
