We sure didn't have anything like this when I was a kid. Now that I'm spending a lot more time in playgrounds and carefully studying playground equipment, I'm amazed at how common these crazy modern play structures are.

i seem to remember as when I was a kid, it didn't matter how complexly abstract a playground was, we would play around just about any simple little structure that existed! These things are fairly new in the market, I myself am not more than 21... and I sort of hate these playgrounds, the slides are made of plastic and get your hair all static and it just feels so artificial. A good photo though.
