      Who's genius idea was to make the traffic flow on the right side rather than the left? :P

      Hmm, that does seem to be the reverse of the intended traffic layout that not only follows Australian traffic conventions, but also makes sponsors feel more loved.

      I'm guessing the helpers were asked to "go make arrows" rather than "go make arrows in accordance with Australian standards". ;)

      Still, the arrows meant that most people weren't bumping into each other on the stairs, except for crazy people like me who would ignore the arrows and take the shortest possible route to where-ever I happened to be running.
