Archaic of Styles
Waterbury, CT | blog.peteyphotography.com
Yesterday was a busy day. I did this shoot with Archaic of Styles at Harkness State park in Waterbury, CT. They are a 2 piece hip-hop group.
These guys were super chill and friendly. I had an awesome time shooting with them all afternoon. I recently missed a show that they played down at a local venue. If you are into hip-hop, most definitely check them out. They actually impressed me with their flow and lyrical ability. Nice to see some local talent in that genre.
They wanted some photos that were opposite of "normal" hip-hop-esque portraiture's. I think we were able to achieve that.
I really liked how they looked on camera so I didn't mess around with this shot too much. I wanted to keep it close to the original.

Jaqui
Boston, MA | blog.peteyphotography.com
Mo' Betta'
I'm revamping my site with a better gallery, etc, It'll be launched tomorrow!
Jaqui is an up and coming R&B singer from Boston. She is making big moves in her career and needed some photos for her press kits! As soon as I get he myspace link, i'll be sure to post it here!
She's the friend of a ,member from the band "Eschaton", that I shot last spring. We all had a great time, walking around boston, finding places to shoot at.
We first set up shop right in the middle of Quincy Market. About 5-6 shots in, we got kicked out so we had to move to the next spot. It happened to be this area, which is right outside of Houston's of Boston. Which, if you're in that area, you definitely have to hit up Houston's, they got some awesome food!
I have another shot that I'll be posting up from the third location.

Finally got my website up and running - www.peteyphotography.com. I just gotta figure out a few more bugs with the gallery. If it doesn't work right the first time, just refresh the page.
This was just a test shot and I loved the way it came out. I didn't do much processing on it other than just a few adjustments in LightRoom. I wanted to share this with you all!
Met up with the awesome guys of Fate Kills The Hero. This is my third time shooting with them. They had a recent line up change and needed some fresh photos for their press kits!
These guys are definitely making moves with their music and I'm glad to see that happen. They recently played at the Hartford, CT Warped Tour stop this past summer. They have some killer music to check out. I've seen them live and they put on a good shoot.
This is the 2nd location that we went to in this old factory that we shot at. This is by far, the only place that freaked me out a bit. I'm not one to get scared quickly, but this place put me on edge!
Good thing these guys were always quick with the jokes. They are absolutely a blast to hang out with. If you get a chance to see them play, be sure to stop by their merch table and hang out for a bit.
