steel bridge, portland
Morning session on day 2 for me was 'urban line' with lapin. I lved this session, because we got to draw the stel bridge, and i wanted to sink my teeth into something and draw in my favoured way, yet still try a different approach. Everybody who sketched this had a slightly different style and way of attacking it - this time for me, while i drew just a couple of perspective lines (which i didn't even really follow), i actually drew it piece by piece from the middle out and let it form itself. It was an overcast morning, causing this very black and white effect, but the sun eventually came out when it was time to add paint. I chose not to!
