Hi all!
Flickr was acting all funny last night, I think an upgrade is on its way, read it somewhere... could be interesting!
So, nearly the weekend! Thank goodness, yesterday was awful, 3x 2hr lectures and the last one over-ran... brilliant! Luckily there is just enough time in our lunch break to dash back and grab some lunch. I picked up a pastry on my way back as I REALLY fancied one, that and maple and pecan plaits are so yummy.
Took a few snaps as I couldn't think of another shot chance. Wish I'd taken my camera in with me though as on the walk home at half five ish the sky was superb but it was dark when I got home. Nevermind.
Was a lovely day yesterday, super warm, t shirt weather practically!
Not up to much today. Just going to try and finish the case studies. I'll pop to town if the weather is nice!
Have a great day folks!

Hi guys, how are we all?!
Todays shot is the other angle from twenty days ago...
www.flickr.com/photos/peterchinnock/6808099471/in/photost...

I said then that I liked the link between the floor and the roof so when I was in town earlier, avoiding the rain, I decided to try and capture it. This is a three shot stitch vertically upwards and then corrected perspective wise and cropped square so it matched day 231!
Didn't really do much, was in at 10-1 with a third year tutor going over our technology case studies, was nice to have a new tutor for a while, fresh perspective!
Went to town after to pop to the bank, came back and made some lunch.
AFter dinner, work and chilling!

Long old lecture day today again, doesnt seem a week since last Thurs!
Hope you have a great day!

Morning all!
Hope everybody is well?!

Not much to report... spent yesterday in the library, woo... NOT. Its far too warm and clammy in there, alas, it had to be done. We were working on case studies which are essentially analysing different buildings from a little information. Quite fun but SO time consuming.
Came back for lunch, delicious leek and potato soup, mmm, nice and thick too. Thought it would make a good shot as it was the highlight of my day.
I entered the student street photography competition too, spent time reading the brief and selecting eight shots. They all had to work together to tell a story/theme so I used shots taken around the Arndale shopping centre. Fingers crossed, not expecting much but worth a stab at it!
Pretty dull evening though, took a while to enter the comp, had to write a description of each 8 shots...
Meh!
In today, 10-1. Get our essays back which we did over Christmas, eek...
Hope you have a good day!

Hi all, hope you're well!?
Long old day yesterday, but a good one!
Got thrown in at the deep end yesterday, first person to do their presentation, but, went pretty well! Nothing negative so thats got to be good! We then sat through everyone elses presentations which were really inspirational too, you get ideas you'd never have thought of it weren't for them, just bouncing off their work. We finished earlier than usual as a few people were ill so I decided to walk back, I pass the Aquatics centre on the way back, it was built for the commonwealth games I believe, anyway, really interesting roof/facade so I took a few snaps. I played around with the first one quite a lot in Lightroom and SEP and if you cover the right side, that was the image I got. I couldn't get the same high contrast on the others so I went for this one but thought it was lacking something so just played around mirroring it in PS and thought it was quite interesting. Shame valentines day was last week with the heart shape! Alas

In the evening I went to a comedy club with some pals which was BRILLIANT! The Frog and Bucket if you want to go. Drinks were quite dear but it was only £3 to get in, good view and good comedy. It started off with a few sets, the compair was fantastic, kept picking on the audience. There was then 8 'newbies' who each had to come up and survive 5 mins without being buzzed off by a panel. They were all great, brave too!

Not much today, going to the library to meet up with some guys to power through our case studys for tomorrow. Annoyingly got set a lot more work for Monday so won't be able to head home this weekend :( was looking forward to it.. alas. Hopefully next weekend.

Have a great day!

Morning folks! Hope you are all well and had good weekends, ready and prepped for the week ahead...

First things first, I'd like to ask for some help. Yesterday I stumbled across this:

www.lfph.org/competitions/student-award-2012/student-awar...

I've still got a couple of weeks to enter luckily but do you guys think its worth the £15 entry fee? I don't know how much is reasonable as i've only ever entered free ones before.
I've put all my street stuff in a set here:
www.flickr.com/photos/peterchinnock/sets/72157629391058097/

I'd really, REALLY appreciate it if you guys could just have a quick skim through and perhaps pick out your faves, i'm so bad at judging my own stuff...
Huge thanks in advance! :)

Not much else to report, worked yesterday, tying off loose ends, lost a fortune at the printers as i sent everything to the printer for my presentation and it came out double sided... so I had to print half of it off again. Pain...
Had a nice pub roast though in the evening and then Top Gear of course! :)
Snapped todays shot after printing, i dashed into town and did a 'round the block' walk to try and make the most of the nice light. I much prefer shooting in the sunshine!
10-5er today, interim reviews! :S
Hope you all have a super day.
