Went out this morning looking for Yellow Warblers that have arrived in Nova Scotia, and came up empty. However, there were some Ospreys circling overhead. Certainly one of my favorite birds. We have had a weather system move in this weekend, and have a low ceiling. Doesn't make for a great background, but can help with photographing these magnificent birds.

Another shot of this bright little fellow. They have been very active in the past week. A nice long weekend in Nova Scotia, hoping to get out to some new areas. Have a great weekend everyone!

American Goldfinch (Carduelis tristis) taking a quick pause for a photo. Such vibrant yellows on these little birds, no post processing required to achieve the bright colors. They are quick and timid, so it's always a pleasure when they get in the clearing.

I Took a drive down to the Eastern Passage region of Nova Scotia this afternoon, and walked along some of the boardwalks that look out over the North Atlantic ocean. This song sparrow was singing his heart out near a dune. Maybe attempting to talk to some of his friends across the 'pond'.
