Water drop set up shot

Most important part. Beer to keep frustration level to a minimum.
Just a background i quickly made and printed out to shoot the flash into
Water tray
bag of water to drip down
Canon 5D with 50mm 1.4 and extension tube. Extension tubes also from Linkdelight at ebay
550ex Speedlight fired right into that dodgy looking background to give nice colour to the water.
Blazzeo radio receiver. Super cheap alternative to Pocket Wizards but work just fine. Find them at Linkdelight on ebay.
Blazzeo trigger. cheap off ebay. but work great!!
Water drop set up shot by Shenanigans in Japan.
Heres what it looked like shooting the water drops.

Was shooting pretty much in the dark with flash set to 1/125th power to give an apparent very fast shutter speed

Nice setup shot, I've always imagined these to be done into a lot more water for some reason

To get the water crown you really need to get the drip from at least 40cm above the tray. Also, adding an overhead card in a contrasting colour adds interest to the shot with the reflections.

Also, thanks for posting this - for newbies like me thinking about shooting something similar, it's nice to see how it can be successfully done!
