Edible Buttons

Edible Buttons

I made these sugar cookies this weekend to go along with my knitting theme for the week. They are really so simple. Patricia suggested I post these a photo of these guys onto flickr. It'd also be a great excuse to finally upload something on here, as I've been quite inactive this month (sorry about that, guys.)

Recipe and write-up can be found on my food blog.

Have a great week, everyone !

Untitled

Spent a fun day with Cynthia (and her brother, Jason) today, and took this shot of her; she's so gracious in front of the camera.
I also tried korean hot plate food for the first time, and it was truly an exciting experience; I've never actually felt so involved in the process of preparing my food at a restaurant ; )

Hope all of you had an exciting weekend and are ready to go back to work... I know I'm not. : (

Just a heads up : )

Just a heads up : )

Same location as my previous photo - I think the lighting near that window is so great for photos.

I made a food blog last week, so if you're interested you can find it here. I'll be posting all sorts of weekly recipes, photos, and write-ups on it. : )

It's already February and I'm really excited because that means that Spring is right around the corner ! Don't believe me ? Just ask Punxsutawney Phil ; )

You may not know it..

You may not know it..

but it hurts.

This photo holds a special meaning to me.
It may be plain and pretentious to some, but after taking this I felt a wave of relief. Now I know why so many of you out there take photos like these. It's really a therapeutic procedure, I guess, to think for a second that something will change if certain people see it, that by photographic your geniune pain and feelings, you will be satisfied and relieve yourself of whatever's bothering you.

Something that did make me smile a lot today was Lord Cuauhtli's testimonial. He is a brilliant contact, and a wonderful friend and inspiration. Thank you so much, from the bottom of my heart.

Biscotti di Prato.

Biscotti di Prato.

Biscotti is one of the few things I make every week - normally on a Monday, or Tuesday.
Though I use various nuts and dried fruits, my secret ingredients are rosemary and orange zest. I guess it's because they are two very homey, familiar flavours to me, and they taste great in combination with the sweetness or the biscotti.

I listened to Yann Tiersen as I edited this. : )

Thank you for all your sweet comments on my recent photos, by the way !
I apologize to anyone who is getting frustrated with all this food photography - I promise to make it up to you by (hopefully!) posting some portraiture soon. : )

Have a wonderful middle of the week, everyone !
