White Rhino Family: Driving Around Pilanesberg National Park, South Africa

White Rhino Family: Driving Around Pilanesberg National Park, South Africa by perlgurl.org.
This Southern White Rhino Family ambled across our path early the first morning. There are only about 12000 of these left in the wild, and seeing this vulnerable species, with its young, was a rare treat.

I know it's from my little point and shoot, but I think it captures something special. The adventure, the wildlife.

(Pilanesberg National Park, Day 1) These are just some candids from my digital point and shoot camera, often taken from the car while it was moving, etc. You'll see dirty windshields, terrible lighting, dirty lenses... You know, what it's really like. ;)

For my "real" (read: way nicer) nature photography from this trip, please check out my African Field Notes on Naturally Speaking
