Woodfield Window April 2012

This is my first window display since our store finally started doing the Community Window again. This time I've chosen my Arrested Development house, figs, and stair car. Club member Adam M. brought in his Banana Stand to finish up the display.

For this display, I didn't want to have too many identifying marks on the display, so I rebuilt parts of the stair car that formerly had the BLUTH logo stickers. The stickers will be back for the next showing at Brickworld in June.
With most of the displays I set up, I follow the guideline of "If people get it, they get it." If they don't "get it" (because of having never seen the show), I don't want to confuse them too much and rather have them just enjoy the creation instead.
Granted, this display has a banana stand, airport stair car, man on a segway with puppet, a hook-handed man, and other stuff, so there's only so much confusion I can allay. ;)

This is at the Lego store in Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg, IL, and will be there until the end of April.

Remember you can also vote for the Stair Car at LEGO Cuusoo! Spread the word: with 10,000 votes, this could become an official LEGO set!

That is so awesome. The MOCs are so good, one can easily enjoy them even if they don't get it.

Nice. You hear they're going forward with the movie soon? There will be individual character-centric episodes on Netflix before the movie release. Awesome stuff. The WTF podcast had interviews with Michael Cera and Jeffrey Tambor recently. Great listens.

It's not going away - the next appearance will be at Brickworld 2012, and it'll be the full scene, too!
