Waltham Brooks.

Waltham Brooks.

Today I've been led to contemplate how lucky those of us are who have a passion. I've been in the company of a couple who have seperate passions, one for cooking and one for climbing, both of them having acheived some renown in their disciplines. These passions have a huge impact on our lives and have shaped us into what we are I am sure. I'm sure that if you're reading this there is a good chance you share my passion for photography. Aren't we lucky people because I'm sure our lives are richer for it.

Waltham Brooks.

Waltham Brooks.

I'm still processing images from my trips to the brooks last week. I love immersing myself in an area close to home because I know that even when I can't find time to visit it's still just over the hill and I take comfort from that.

Waltham Brooks.

Waltham Brooks.

Very similar to an image I posted a few days back but the frost offered something different.

Waltham Brooks.

Waltham Brooks.

The light on this particualr morning was dull, as in the previous images posted. They're not crowd pleasers but I do kind of like them for what they are. The frost helped lift the textures from the landscape and had me searching for anything that may act as a focal point. Maybe I was trying to hard at making something from nothing.
Anyhow, I enjoyed being there and at least it adds a bit of variety to my stream.

That tree again.

That tree again.

My life has revolved around this tree this week. I have photographed it many times over the years but this week it has been viewed from almost every angle so I have a few more to go through yet I'm afraid.

In four visits this week, in sub-zero temperatures, there has only been frost on one morning. It was interesting and refreshing in the way it transformed the landscape, I wish we saw more of it down south.
