    Hello :-)

I think that the compo contains too much information right now. Too many people, not enought light. Fortunately, there is an element that really stands out for me (the guy behind the fog in the middle), and I wish you had done a stronger crop to really make this guy the main focus of this composition.

A NO from me, but more jurors to come.

The silouette of the man with the fog is the main part of this shot that immediately draws my attention to it. Everything else is secondary.
There really is quite a lot of interesting things going on in this shot. It just gets all jumbled together.
Sorry, no from me for the main pool.

Sometimes it's just a blink of a second, you raise your camera and take a shot. Well, the shot itself may not be perfect. Not in a technical sense, nor the composition. Still, the image transports something. An atmosphere, may be a feeling, or even a breeze or a scent. It might be just me who's always amazed by urban photography, but this image holds a very strong mood. No matter if there's no perfect focus. Even the motion blur does not bother me too much. To me it adds a lot of reality, also an honest and intense feeling of a fast city. Another thing that really works is the light. Warm, yet it holds something anonymous.
A great scene that offers a lot to explore. A fast look at a second probably nobody would have remebered. That definately New York.
The more I look at it, the more I like it.

A strong YES from me! More Jurors to follow.

Well, I really believe in the power of "unspectacular" pictures where the "spectacular" is to be seen at the 2nd sight... Guess your "snap shot" comprehend some aspects of my believe. Perhaps it sounds a bit "conservative" but I think this colored version takes away a bit of the drama here. Have you thought about a B&W version (?), perhaps with a small increase of the brightness & contrast (?). Just my opinion. In general I support David's thoughts but I am not a hundred percent convinced. I go for a very small yes.

I do like Street Scenes, but this image for me is too busy, and no real focus point, although I guess the middle silhouette of the man with the fog, but as it is dark the lacking of detail makes it even worse to start picking out something else out to attract the eye, maybe if there was a larger version to look at I would feel a little different.
A crop maybe to draw us in more.
Sorry a no for the main pool this time

5-2-3>>>>> See Below I change my vote, but will leave this comment as to why I changed

I had an email from Penny Red showing me a link for a larger view that I did not see when I viewed and made my comments, I always look at the top for larger, and never below for an added link, I apologise for that. as in my previous comment I said I would feel a little different, I do.
After looking at the larger version, I can now see a lot more detail and a good overall focus from the front to the back of the image, the tonal range and colours are good, with so many different lights.
There seems to be a few stories here in this image now I can see, people seems to be looking at something else other than the main focus point of the man and steam in the middle.
I would have still cropped a little off the right and toned down the bright area on the right a little, good framing though on the other sides of the image.
I would maybe also liked to have seen a few more faces than backs of people but again not as easy to hang around and wait and miss what story this image was telling us.
All in all I will change my vote, although still a busy image the larger version lets me see a lot more of what is going on and each little part is well detailed.
This just shows how important it is for any one posting in the PJ pool on the The Jurors, to show us larger version of busy images it is much easier for us to come to a conclusion that is better suited to the image.
A Small Yes for the main pool.
