Satchel Paige

Grave of Leroy Robert "Satchel" Paige in Forest Hill Cemetery, Kansas City, Missouri. Hall of Fame Pitcher "Satchel" Paige played in the Negro Leagues from 1926 to 1947 & in MLB from 1948 through 1965. He finished his career with a 28-31 MLB record, 3.29 ERA, & 288 strikeouts. His Negro League stats are tremendously impressive, he struck out 21 MLB players in an exhibition game, & beat a 17 year old Bob Feller in a game. Paige was considered one of the best pitchers ever to play baseball.
