Good on you for putting it up - being eyed in
this manner would make me uneasy, to say the
least, especially since I detect a smite of
lowered pectorals from this fellow...? :-S
But great shot none the less! :-)

These two pics have appeared to worsened in
quality, any idea why?

Hmm...how are you uploading to Flickr? If
you're using some of the OS X uploading
tools, I've noticed that they - of their own
accord - suggest a lower res than the actual
images, and thus "worsen" the
pictures automatically, unless you intervene
manually and set the actual pixel-size as the
upload size? Specifically, the iPhoto plugin
does this automatically.
Also, you've resized these quite a bit -
which program do you use for resizing? In my
book, PhotoShop is the way to go - other apps
have these horrible compression engines, that
violate the original pictures like you
wouldn't believe. Or maybe you would? Seeing
is believeing. :-)

Johan, was accessing through the Biz Schools
Browser, looks like they are downscaling
cached images in some way. Images look fine
through my browser. Do you see any banding in
the image on your Mac? I am using Photoshop,
and have uploaded these to two tiger shots in
higher rez. Should be sorted.
Limna, thanks for your encouragement.
really appreciate it. Of the two images I
also love this one as a reflection of the
nature of these amazing animals. Thanks
again!

No banding on my PB - just unadulterated,
deep blue excellence! :-) Every time one of
your shots comes up in my desktop rotation, I
find myself "zoning out" a
little...ditto what Limna said: have a go at
the Wildlife Photographer event! Think you've
got what it takes.

Great pic, awsome mate, you might get a
better quality pic to upload if you save at
1024 res. in photo -shop, Also it depends on
the megapixals of your camera and check your
ISO setting the lower it is the better the
quality.

Maybe, but nothing in my experience of these
animals has lead me to conclude it is crazy
to free dive with these awesome animals. Lets
hope it stays that way :}

This is an incredible shot (the whole series
of photos is very good) - how did you feel at
the moment you took this one?! I've been
diving for a while now but I've yet to come
across any sharks - not surprising given that
most of my diving is around the UK.....

Thanks Jenny and firstyphoto!
The whole engagement with these animals is
amazing, and when you are looking through a
viewfinder with a 16mm lens on it, the animal
looks a lot further away than it really is.
These tigers were coming in very close,
sometimes even bumping into the dome port. I
did not see the value in this image ar first
- it was only on a third or fourth review of
my stock from that dive that i realised its
potential. through smart cropping and some
healing work on photoshop (the viz was not
great)
