This is a property store room at Rochester Police Station - this was one of a number of seized stolen fire grates
This was a free standing grate, and he climbed through from behind - he was a fairly sturdy individual, having been fed on the usual C.I.D. diet of fast foods washed down with pints of beer. I was never in CID as my capacity for booze was not high enough!
