The black sand beach in Wai'anapanapa State Park is really a black pebble beach, but it is pretty cool. The waves make a crackling sound when they go back.
Here I played around with my new Fader II filter, a variable neutral density filter I got just before the trip.I like what it does to the water.
ISO 100, 19mm, f20, 0.6sec. I processed the raw file 3 times in ACR, one exposed for the water, one for the land and one for the sky, and blended them with the brush in PS. This allowed me to bring out detail in the rocks without blowing out the sky and the waves.

Beautiful enough to make me wish I were there right now! I can't compliment it any higher than to say that I've watermarked it with your name and "creative commons" and scheduled it to be shared on 7 October 2012 at: www.facebook.com/OpticsReviewercom
