I agree that the inconsistent background is
disturbing, but it is always hard for me in
this kind of images to know which artist i
should make the compliments. The puppetmaker
or the photographer...I quess in this case
the photographer saw a great puppet.
heh, greeeeaat statue. full of expression. but, i think the crop is not the good. i mean, light is ok, and the subject is very
interesting, but there is a black background
on the right of the picture that is too
distractive. feel free to delete my note, that was just my
opnion. and yes, portuguese wines are great.
I like this a lot. If the black arm had been
allowed to reach into the black background on
the right I might have minded, but as it is
the two are quite distinct so it doesn't
bother me unduly. I do like the textures in
the background too. The expression on the
dummy is wonderful, focus & DOF fine,
natural lighting so no harsh glares/spots of
overexposure. Score 11/13 (from the Judgment Day group)
There's not much you can do to wait for the
subject to change, so you better get the
environment right, in terms of perspective,
background, etc. I think the color and
texture of the partial wall is nice, but
position of camera could improve a lot.

Nice shot. It would have been better with a consistent background though.

Great picture, and thanks for the creative commons license.
