Just below the Beechwood Wetland notice the "fish ladder" created by the TRCA to get migratory fish over the weir (dam) without letting invasive sea lamprey and carp pass upstream.

Success in restoring the Lower Don is happening, but it is particularily challenging with the amount of exotic, invasive plants - Japanese knotweed, dog-strangling vine, garlic mustard.
