Tsuboniwa is this flat area, and it's compared to the garden.
It's a lava plateau, trees can not grow up higher.
The access is easy by the ropeway of Pilatus Tateshina ski resort.

標高2,200mに広がる坪庭です。
写真のように、大きな木は育ちません。
周囲の山は木で覆われているものの、
強い風と寒さにより順に帯状に枯れて行く縞枯現象が見られます。
