The Emerald Waters of Robe

Robe, on South Australia’s south eastern “Limestone Coast”, is a jewel at the foot of the Coorong.

Twenty years ago, it was a holiday destination for Adelaide residents who couldn’t afford holiday houses up the coast in Victor Harbour. Now, Victor Harbour is a dull, predictable place. I’m told that Robe is now the place to get away.

Ripples on Goolwa Beach

From this spot between Goolwa and Middleton beaches, an hour's drive south of Adelaide, it is not uncommon to have no one within a kilometre either side of you.

It's a great place to think.
