Blue bells verto

Blue bells verto

About:
This probably won't work very well on Flickr, but try to enjoy this. What I wanted to achieve was to visualize the small flowers against the tall trees. I could have taken a fish-eye or wide angle get down to the ground and aim up, but I think it would loose the scale of things. So I opted for a vertical panorama. It would have been even better with a blue sky and sun shining through... but I hadn't had that luck that day. it will be for next year...

Location:
Hallerbos, Halle, Belgium
This image is also geotagged

Technical stuff:
Exposure: 1/30 sec sec at f/11
At 43mm (FF)
Panorama of 4 pictures stitched with PtGui. post processing in LR

Bluebells panorama

Bluebells panorama

About:
The bluebells in Hallerbos. For me this is the essence of the bluebells extravaganza in the woods... There flowers are everywhere and you really have to see it in real life, I hope this panorama shows the flower carpet

Location:
Hallerbos, Halle, Belgium
This image is also geotagged

Technical stuff:
Panorama of 15 images (portrait) resulted in a 36000x7000 pixels panorama (250 megapixels), took a crop which I like most (still 29000x6700).
I tried to get the focus on the new tree in the middle so I lighted and saturated the greens of leaves a bit more to draw the attention of the eye and to have a resting point as well.

BerchemPlay Video

Berchem

Timelapse... I love them

Last wednesday it was a nice sky with nice moving clouds and a bit of a promise of color in the sky during sunset, with the added bonus of a rising moon. The moon on the video is not that impressive as in real life.
Taken from the balcony of my girlfriends apartment, facing due east so not really an ideal sunset location, but at least it has some elevation.

Technical stuff:
890 pictures taken with a GoPro Hero3 black every 10 seconds. Adjusted the first jpg with Lightroom for the colors and exposure, copied to all pictures. Imported as an image sequence in Photoshop CS6 were it's just 1 click to create a movie.
Next step is moving during the taking process and/or the post processing (crop window moving)

Enjoy!
