I love peeping in through the alleyways in old towns to see the
secrets which lie beyond - and this was on eof my favourites - in
Rovinj, Croatia.
Yes, still working my way through the ridiculous number of photos I
took in the summer - but then it is cold, damp and grey outside.

I know Explore is meaningless and that there are many superb photos out there that don't find their way through the mysterious algorithm...
BUT I wasstill excited to see this reach Explore # 21 for 6/2/2010! My highest ever position and rapidly heading to be the most popular photo on my photostream, but is it my best? That's another question! Happy to hear your answers on this!

Good for you Paul, congratulations! I have no idea how "they" go about selecting only 500 images per day either?? It is all very mysterious to me! :) I've only had one image selected, and I know it should'nt be that important, but it sure feels good!! :)

In reponse to a couple of enquiries/comments - here's some tech data on this photo. It is just a single shot - not HDR or anything. All I've done is crop the original image a little to create the desried framing and slightly reduce the levels on the patch of sunlight which was a little overexposed. Otherwise the details are:
Focal length 18mm; F/6.3; 1/160 sec; iso 200.
PS - I generally try to visit back on those who comment my photos - but then I don't generally get so many comments so forgive me if I don't get back to you and have a great week everyone!
