Library Renovation - 2nd floor and landscaping - Summer 2008

These are photos of the renovation and exterior landscaping projects at Phillips Memorial Library, Providence College, Providence RI.

Renovations began on May 19, 2008 and were completed as of November 1, 2008. Improvments included new furniture, carpet and compact shelving on over 70 percent of the floorspace on the 2nd floor. The exterior landscaping now consists of a new brick-and-granite walkway between the Library and St. Dominic Chapel, new pathways and plantings, and an expanded and improved parking area.

There was lots of dust, noise and inconvenience to both patrons and staff while the work was being done, but we feel it was all worth in in the end!
