NATURE “Invasion of the Giant Pythons” (Fred Kaufman, Shawn Heflick, Jackie Navarro)

During PBS’ NATURE “Invasion of the Giant Pythons” session at the TCA Winter Press Tour in Pasadena on January 13, 2010, herpetologist Shawn Heflick, series executive producer Fred Kaufman and Jackie Navarro, of Wild Wonders, discuss how a thriving python population in Everglades National Park has made the refuge more a killing ground than a haven for the endangered mammals, trees, plants, birds, turtles and alligators there.

Pugsley, a 13 ft. Burmese python, attends PBS’ NATURE “Invasion of the Giant Pythons” session at the TCA Winter Press Tour in Pasadena on January 13, 2010.
