My self portraiture pretty much came to a halt almost 2 years ago ( I cannot believe it's been that long..) when I moved to the inner city of Hartford- due to the lack of safe outdoor places to shoot. I also live in a house with a bunch of other people so that makes indoor shots hard to achieve as well. Thought I owed flickr that explanation...

anyways, I went out on an attempt to take a simple outdoor self portrait in some fields nearby my house but chickened out and took some nature shots instead. You must understand that I stick out enough as it is around here simply by being white, so the last thing I want to do is prance around with a tripod taking self portraits to draw more attention to myself :)

with that being said, here's some photos of grass.

but I've taken a photo on new years for the past two years so here it is.

I keep saying that each year since 2009 has been the best, but 2011 really might take the cake. I have found my home, landed my dream job and look into the future with pure excitement.
