Brooklyn Bridge Lights, New York City, New York

Brooklyn Bridge Lights, New York City, New York

I was visiting the Brooklyn Bridge after a long time and, for the first time, after I had taken interest in photography. The air was freezing; the water untouchable; but the lights, the color, and the determination to stand and wait to take this photograph was there.

This is a composite of 4 vertical shots taken in succession. Stitching has been done using Photoshop. The results are before you.

The Curve of the Sea

The Curve of the Sea

Etretat has a pebble beach and we didn't know that when we went there. The water was cold, but it was colder to get hit by incoming pebbles unless you were prepared for it. I preferred to stay far away and take this beautiful view from the cliff-top on porte d-aval. I hope you like it.

First Snow - Danbury, CT

First Snow - Danbury, CT

And we had our first snow last evening and it continued until the early hours today. I was hoping to wake up early and catch the sunrise, but that wasn't to be. Instead, I made sure to check out the small pond in my condo community at sundown and these glorious colors greeted me with a nice reflection.

Storm Clouds approaching Grindelwald

Storm Clouds approaching Grindelwald

It was a morning I'm going to remember for a long time. I had planned on hiking the Eiger trail that morning, woken up early and caught the train to Kleine Scheidigg barely. Then came my wife's phone and I had to change plans and go to Mannlichen instead. Well, I will not know what lay in store for me on the Eiger trail, but this view on my way to Mannlichen was more than just beautiful, and I got off at the mid station and hiked a bit to reach and photograph the stormy clouds engulfing the mountains around me.

The Lightening Bolt

The Lightening Bolt

Clouds can be amazing sometimes - a slight gap between the dense gathering above us can bring about wonderful shapes and colors in the sky. On this day, it was the shape that attracted me. Looking like a lightening bolt directly hitting Monch from the right, I was fascinated by the near monochromatic landscape before me. Adding to that was the Mannlichen towering in front of us, silhouetted completely against the light.
