They're selling a substance called 'kvas' - it's a traditional Russian drink derived (distilled) from various types of plant matter (or bread). It's very popular and, once you've acquired the taste, is very refreshing, even though it's not chilled. I thought it was non-alcoholic, but according to this page it can have small quantities of alcohol.
