I can't remember the last time I headed over to the coast with a camera?? This sunset shot from Whitby wasn't a pre-planned outing, but rather the end of a family day out. I had my LX5 with me so decided to break off for 30 minutes having had a gut feeling that the clearing skies to the west combine with the heavy skies along the coast could produce something of interest.

I know this image is a tad obvious, but sometimes I'm a total sucker for this kind of thing. Plus I don't think it does any harm once in while, many thanks for looking.

It was nice to be out in 'proper' winter weather again this weekend.

I spent a very pleasant morning with Paul Moon wondering around the Yorkshire Wolds and discussing all things Hockney related amongst others. Overall the light was very flat all morning, and the handful of images I came away with were slightly lackluster. As we were walking back to the car I spotted this frozen puddle, the 'happy face' looking back was enough for me. Thanks again Paul for a nice morning.
